There are seven skills in micro teaching.

1. Skill of Stimulus Variation
Date: 14.11.2024
Stimulus variation is an important skill which helps to keep students attentive in the class and to sustain their motivation.
On the first day we practice Micro teaching of "Skill of Stimulus Variation. Morning I teach micro lesson plan of this skill. Comments were given by the observer. In afternoon session reteach and replan the same content. Then feedback was given by teacher educator.
2. Skill of Set Induction
Date: 15.11.2024
Set induction refers to the process of using a thought-provoking statement, interesting fact or an audio-visual stimulus at the beginning of lecture to gain students attention and given an overview about the lecture topic.
On this day we practiced ,the "Skill of set induction or introduction". Comments were given by the observer and also teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
3. Skill of Explaining
Date: 18.11.2024
Skill of explaining is one of the most important aspects of effective micro-teaching. Its simply the expertise of a teacher that engage in effective communication with their students.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Explaining ". Comments were given by the observer and also teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
4. Skill of Reinforcement
Date: 19.11.2024
The skill of Reinforcement comprises using more and more positive reinforcers to make the learning experience pleasant for children. Positive reinforces can be words or gestures that motivate pupils and encourage them to participate in the class.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Reinforcement ". Comments were given by the observer and also the teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
5. Skill of Probing Questions
Date: 20.11.2024
Possessing the skill of probing means asking questions that are designed to uncover more information from pupils, requiring them to go beyond their first response and enhancing their capacity to think capacity to think simultaneously on multiple aspects.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Probing Question". Comments were given by the observer and also the teacher educator to improve the process of teaching.
6. Skill of Blackboard Usage
Date: 21.11.2024
The writing on a Blackboard must be clear, with adequate spacing between the letters and a clear distinction between words and sentences. The writting must not be difficult to read or comprehend and should be legible.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Blackboard Usage". Comments were given by the observer and also the teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
7. Skill of Achieving Closure
Date: 22.11.2024
The Skill of Achieving Closure is one of the major skills of micro teaching. It is the last skill that is practiced in micro teaching. The object of this skill is to conclude the chapter or topic that has already been discussed.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Achieving Closure". Comments were given by the observer and also the teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
8. Skill of Stimulus Variation
Date: 25.11.2024
A teacher uses hand gestures, head and body movements, verbal statements ect in order to draw the attention of her students and to sustain it. The behaviour of the teacher is a stimulus to the pupils.
On this day we practiced the "Skill of Stimulus Variation". Comments were given by the observer and also the teacher educator to improve the skill of teaching.
Definitely this practice will be very useful for our Macro Teaching.
